How to find out which radio I have in my Audi?
If you do not know what type of OEM radio or which MMI software version is installed in your Audi, we made this simple chart for you where you can learn how to identify the original MMI Audi head unit and software version that is installed in your car from the factory. It is actually very easy to know what MMI system you have just by looking at the MMI software version in your radio.
How to access the MMI software version in your Audi radio:
1. Press the "Setup" or "Menu" button on the radio.
2. Go to "Settings".
3. Scroll down to "Version Information".
4. Look for first letters and numbers of Software Version: (e.g. HNav_XX_XXXXX_XX).
5. For Concert and Symphony radio see the description below.
Type 1- CLU8_XXXX - Audi MIB 2 High
MIB-II - 2017+ Audi A4, A5, Q5 B9 models and 2016+ Audi Q7
Type 2 – MHI2_XX_ - Audi MIB 2 High
MIB-II - restyle 2016-2019 Audi A6, A7
Type 3 – MST2-Audi MIB 2 STD
Type 4 – MHIG_XX- Audi MIB 1 High

2013+ Audi A3 8V
Type 6 – HN+_ XX_- Audi MMI 3G+
2009 - 2016 Audi A1,A4,A5,S4,S5,A6,A7,A8,Q3,Q5,Q7 with 7'' Color Screen (resolution 800*480)
and has control joystick by the gear shifter.
Type 7 – HNav_XX_ - Audi MMI 3G High
MMI 3G High comes with a joystick and touchpad by the gear shifter and has a 7'' Color LCD (resolution 800*480)
Type 8 – BNav_ XX_- Audi MMI 3G Low/Basic
MMI 3G Low/Basic - has a 6.5-inch color display with a resolution of 480*240
and is commonly met in 2008-2010 Audi A4, Allroad, A5, A5 Sportback+Cabriolet, A6, Q5, Q7
Type 9 – Audi Concert or Symphony
If your Audi has radio control knob between LCD screen and climate control panel, and if it says Concert or Symphony Radio on top of the radio, then you have Concert or Symphony radio. It is used in 2008-2016 Audi A4,S4,A5,S5,Q5,SQ5,RSQ5 and has 6.5-inch color display.
Type 10 – RMC_XX_ - Audi RMC
RMC system is the lower version of MMI 3G radio and can be found in Audi Q3 and A6 with 6.5'' LCD.
Type 11 – Audi MMI High 2G
Late 2008 till 2009 in Audi A6, A8, Q7, and A4(8K), and comes with a 6.5-inch color display.
Our A6 and Q7 products are compatible. Usually, if A4 has type 11 it does not come with AUX and AMI
Type 12 – Audi MMI 2G Low/Basic
Comes with a Monochrome display. Does not support our systems.
Monochrome usually does not have AUX/AMI. If A6/Q7 has no aux or AMI then our MOST audio adapter can work.
This CD changer with 6 buttons is not compatible with our product.
Only Audi A4 B8 CD changer with 6 buttons is not compatible.

if A6/Q7 with monochrome has AUX or AMI, then our A6/Q7 products are compatible. If no AUX/AMI, then our products are also compatible but need to add the MOST audio adapter.
